Dr. Sanders is a board certified and fellowship trained physician who specializes in both chronic and acute pain.

After completing Medical School at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, he continued his education with a surgical internship and anesthesiology residency at University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Sanders returned to New Orleans and worked as an anesthesiologist for two years in a trauma setting before going to a post doctoral pain management fellowship.

Prior to his education at Louisiana State University Medical Center, Dr. Sanders received a Master’s Degree in biochemistry and has worked at M.D. Anderson in cancer research, presenting research and medical lectures at national conferences.

As a leading physician in vertebral compression fractures, Dr. Sanders performed more cutting edge kyphoplasties than any other physician in the state of Louisiana last year. In addition, he has published numerous book chapters and journal articles on surgical anatomy and the latest treatment options in pain management.
